The Thrift Store can not accept computer, monitors, etc. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a home for your old tech.

BC Technology for Learning Society is a registered charity that collects donations of used computers and laptops from governments and businesses for refurbishment and re-distribution to schools, libraries, low income families, and learning focused non-profit organizations across BC. What they can not reuse, is responsibly recycled. Although located in Burnaby, they pick up all over BC.  Outside of the lower mainland, they will pick up minimum orders of 20+ pieces. They seek tech that meets or exceeds the following specifications:

Laptops iSeries or better; Windows 10 compliant.
Desktop Computers iSeries or better; Windows 10 compliant.
MacIntosh – 2012 or newer
Hard DrivesAt least 250 GB HDD or 120 GB SSD HDD.
Monitors – 19 inch or larger LCDs.
Smartphones, Tablets – Must be unlocked, undamaged (no cracks in screens), and in working condition.
Accessories & Misc. –  Printers, mice, keyboards, routers, network switches, toner, speakers, projectors, interactive or touch displays, etc.
